The project brief asked Faye Robinson Interiors to create two separate lounge areas each with their own identity as well as bedroom schemes, new hallway and ensuite designs.
We created a TV Lounge which has a dark cocooning design aesthetic giving a comforting, homely interior. Dark green walls with a bespoke wool window seat, new alcove joinery and wood herringbone flooring was used to give a classic but stylish look. This was complemented by a second reading lounge located in a new extension to the rear of the property with sliding doors onto the garden area. This room has a lighter, fresher aesthetic connecting to the outside area and giving a more relaxed feel. We supplied bespoke ceiling mounted abstract print curtains and roman blind and specified a boho style rug with brass and black accents to anchor the scheme. A new contemporary wood burning stove gives the room a homely feel.
An ambitious new staircase designed and manufactured by Robinson King Joinery saw full height frameless glass balustrade installed to compliment a custom dyed oak staircase softened with wool carpet runner. This opened up the new entrance hall allowing light to flow and making full use of the double height but narrow foot print of the space. Large scale porcelain flooring was used continuing into the new extension area connecting the spaces and giving a cohesive flow.
Our client wanted a wow factor downstairs WC which would leave a lasting impression on visitors. The compact space uses a high impact decadent scheme with full height inky botanical wallpaper and a contemporary navy concrete wall hung basin, complimented with brass fixtures. For the master bedroom we designed a relaxed scheme to sit inline with the reading lounge design, adding new simple shaker wall panelling for visual interest. The en-suite employs a double shower with bespoke frameless full height shower screens and a bespoke viola marble wall hung sink unit. We manufactured a bespoke full height mirrored bathroom cabinet to reflect light in the small space and specified large scale oyster wall and floor tiles giving a seamless backdrop to the feature marble stone.
Finally a new home office was designed with bespoke LED lit cabinetry to give a stylish display area as well as offering useful storage space.
