Bespoke Kitchen and Oak framed Extension

A recent project saw Robinson King aid in the complete redesign of our client’s kitchen. The works included adding a new oak framed extension to the existing space with glazed doors leading out into the newly landscaped rear garden. Together with our interior designer, we worked on the full design, manufacture, and implementation of the bespoke shaker style kitchen.

The client wanted to open up the existing cramped galley style kitchen, add square meterage and allow the space to work cohesively with the outdoor area. Working with our architectural technician we designed a new oak extension using a beautiful green oak frame which allowed the inside to connect with the outside harmoniously.

The design brief asked for a ‘contemporary-country’ shaker style kitchen which married perfectly with the rustic oak frame and rural Yorkshire location of the property. Robinson King created bespoke shaker style panelled cabinetry finished with vintage style hardware. The kitchen was sprayed in an off-Lilac light Grey paint colour with natural Oak interior. The design also incorporated a feature kitchen pantry cupboard with sliding pocket doors, integrated fridge freezer and rounded kitchen island with recessed mounted oven hob. We specified a white quartz for the kitchen work surfaces, new flooring and also included industrial style copper lighting as requested by the client.

The client was delighted with the finished product which has more than doubled their original kitchen space and provided a great family kitchen area. The green oak extension allows light to flood the space and works perfectly for outdoor entertaining and dining.
